Kody Lynn Morgan received her bachelor’s degree with honors in Criminal Justice from the University of Louisville, with minors in Philosophy and Psychology. She went on to receive her Juris Doctorate from the University of Kentucky J. David Rosenberg College of Law.
During law school, Kody Lynn served as President of the Moot Court Board and competed on the national team. She also gained valuable legal experience working with the Kentucky Department of Education’s Office of Legal Services, the Children’s Law Center, and the Kentucky Department of Public Advocacy’s Juvenile Post-Disposition Branch.
Kody Lynn focuses her practice on Federal Criminal Defense, State Criminal Defense, Appellate Cases, and Expungements. Drawing on her background in education and juvenile advocacy, she also assists students and student-athletes facing challenges both in and out of the classroom. Whether it involves advising on NCAA compliance matters, representing students in disciplinary or Title IX proceedings, or providing guidance in academic and code of conduct issues, Kody Lynn is dedicated to protecting students’ rights and opportunities during challenging times.
Kody Lynn is admitted to practice before all Kentucky courts, including the Kentucky Supreme Court, as well as the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky and the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. She is a member of the Kentucky Bar Association and the Fayette County Bar Association.
Outside of her legal practice, Kody Lynn enjoys coaching fitness classes and spending time with her two dogs.
